BZ Grill is a straightforward Greek grill and fast-casual spot tucked into the heart of Astoria, a neighborhood known for its authentic Mediterranean flavors. This place works well for folks looking to grab a reliably tasty gyro or a hearty platter without fuss. The dining area is simple with some indoor seating and additional tables outside, offering a casual vibe where locals often linger over lunch or a relaxed dinner.

The menu leans into classic Greek grill favorites, with highlights including juicy chicken souvlaki, pork gyro, and a variety of well-seasoned kebabs. Plates like the Chicken Gyro Platter or Mix Grill serve those with bigger appetites or a desire to sample a range of flavors. For lighter fare or starters, favorites like Greek fries and halloumi provide satisfying bites that pair well with homemade iced tea or the distinct Greek wild cherry juice they offer.

Atmosphere-wise, BZ Grill balances casual convenience with a neighborhood warmth that comes through in the service and the care evident in the food. It’s the kind of place where the owner’s pride in fresh, well-prepared dishes is clear, helping the restaurant stand out in Astoria’s competitive landscape of Greek eateries. While it doesn’t have parking, it attracts a steady stream of local workers, families, and regulars who appreciate the authentic gyro taste that reminds some of home.

Best times to visit are midday for lunch specials or early evenings when the outdoor seating adds to the experience. Those craving a quick meat-centric meal, especially fans of well-marinated pork or chicken gyros, will find BZ Grill delivers with consistent quality. The prices reflect a willingness to maintain flavor and freshness rather than cut corners, making it a dependable stop for both quick bites and lingering small group dinners.

Their food is amazing! Their chicken souvlaki is so juicy and tasty! I typically get their gyros with fries, but sometimes I'll get their platters! I love their Greek fries too. Fair price for the flavor too! I love dining in and sitting outside!

I’ve lived in New York for over 20 years, and as a Greek, I’m very particular about my Gyro. This place truly meets my standards — the pork Gyro is excellent and tastes just like home.

I stopped by BZ Grill in Astoria for a quick lunch and left seriously impressed. The owner, Margarita, is a super nice, hardworking lady who clearly takes pride in her food — everything is made fresh and with care. I ordered the Bifteki Sandwich Lunch Special, which comes with fries. The bifteki (a seasoned Greek-style all-beef patty) was packed with flavor — juicy, perfectly grilled over charcoal, and I could taste a hint of cumin and other warm spices. Easily a 9/10. I also tried the kebab— a delicious mix of ground beef and lamb with Middle Eastern spices. It was tender and flavorful — a solid 8.5/10. Overall, BZ Grill is a must-try for Greek street food lovers. Great flavors, generous hospitality, and a clean, welcoming vibe. I’ll definitely be back!

Good gyro, it’s an open late spot with some sit down tables in the back. No parking for this restaurant. With so much competition in the area with Greek food, I would recommend it but don’t feel I need to necessarily go back. Little on expensive side. 4.5/5 stars

Tried this place 2 days in a row. First day, we tried the platter for 2 people, came with pork & chicken gyro and sausage/burger version with rice and it was good. Portions can be better though. Second day, tried the Chicken gyro sandwich and they added fries. Looked pretty huge but surprisingly light and delicious! Not a pretty long wait for orders to go since they make it fresh upon ordering, the staff always greets you and have been nice and friendly!
